Quarantine Self Portraits: Momma Bird

Who'd have thought 2020 was going to be such a crazy, emotionally draining, demanding and insane time?? I could very easily go down a rabbit hole of worry but I know when my hamster wheel starts turning, I need to do two things: 1) Move my body and 2) CREATE.

And I LOVE this quote:

"I've died a thousand deaths, each time reinventing myself brighter, stronger, and purer than before. From the midst of destruction, I became the creator of myself. From the midst of darkness, I became my own source of light." -Cristen Rodgers

I had ordered some fun 'props' for my photography studio and while my daughter napped, I quick threw myself into my studio and did as many self portraits as I could!

They are... insanely hard. lol Making sure everything is focus, that you look good, etc.

But I personally can't just sit home and let months of life pass me by. It's just not in my DNA. So create, I will! :)

I literally had an hour and a half. I made sure to do my make-up before I put her down.

And then when she woke up she was like, "Bird! Bird!" Hahaha... And when SHE wanted to be a bird, I got wildly excited because she hates being photographed. Stinker... But those photos are for the next blog!

Color (above) or black and white (below?) Decisions, decisions...

They're way cuter and funnier than mine. :)

Hope everyone is staying well & healthy! Baby Bird photos will be up next. :)
